They don't conflict (on disk, I can't say what they'll do at runtime, I just have my opinions).

The SP installs a version of the VC10 runtime automatically, it's part of the installer.

That is (apparently) no longer supported with VC14 and later and MS is going back to DLL hell with their runtime library approach, so things are going to be very bad for a long time again, and people will be forced to manually ensure they have a working runtime and hope it actually works with whatever software is on the box (hint, it won't). If you know what the file MFC30.DLL is, you know what I'm talking about.
