There is nothing in ECP requiring attribute queries, so your basic question here doesn't really make sense, and fundamentally you're sending a query to the ECP endpoint, which is probably the cause of the error. That isn't allowed. Queries are queries, ECP is ECP. Totally distinct.

I would suggest taking your issues with ECP implementation to the dev list.
