I saw the same Zip package error when I used that request direct to the IdP with my browser. So I can confirm the Sample request I provided in the earlier post is not valid.

That was my understanding, but either way, the simple answer is to paste the URL in a browser and watch it run.
Good idea re pasting in a browser. So I did that. And it fails, with the same error the OP is seeing.
So hmm. Unless I screwed up the test somehow, that implies that there is some sort of legitimate issue here. If someone else with a test IdP handy (and who knows what they are doing) can reproduce, that will eliminate operator error.
Testing IdP was a 3.4.0-SNAPSHOT, just updated to latest JDK 1.8.0_141.
