Perfect. Thanks, Andrew! That's just what I needed.
I'm getting a URL Not Found error now, but I assume that's on the vendor side. It gives a secure connection to the SP server, and it's trying to pull up the endpoint specified.

Thanks, Brent. I have been to that page a few times, without achieving clarity on what I actually had to do. It would probably help to include a concrete example case along the lines of what I sent to the list yesterday afternoon. I've made up a short Word document to walk through the process from the point of view of someone just trying to implement it, which I would be happy to share if there is any interest.
