v3.3.1 eduPersonTargetedID question

I'm still in the process of configuring our V3 system based on our current (yes, very ancient) V2 production environment.  The V2 system incorporates a MySQL-backed store that provides the eduPersonTargetedID attribute to about 6 SPs.  What should I do in our V3 environment?  I feel that I've pored over the documentation at https://wiki.shibboleth.net but I am not quite understanding what is needed.
