Velocity code not rendering in error.vm

Sorry to drop the ball on this thread.

We're seeing this in 3.3.0 and 3.3.1.

I _THOUGHT_ it was working in 3.2.1, but I can't say that with 100% certainty nor can I say that it was the upgrade to 3.3.0 that broke it.

If it's displaying the string, then environment isn't being defined. Before I go searching code history, what version is this?

Generally it means there's a bug, either simple or something more complex involving the flow terminating improperly and rendering the view without populating the variables it should be.
