Howto transfer Shibboleth to new HW

This is probably a total newbie question: Which steps need to be taken to transfer the configuration of an existing installation to new HW?

I'm working for a Managed Service Provider and we are bidding for a larger outsource with a research organization.
For an initial offer, we need a high level proposal how to take over existing services into our data center.

So considering we want to take over existing services more or less as is and simply want to move to newer own equipment (and potentially new IP addresses with existing DNS names), how will the Shibboleth (Service and Identity Providers) environment be migrated?
Simply transfer the config settings onto the new environment?
At which paths do the files reside?
