I believe the use of that interface is automatic for any form of data source, we changed the underlying JDBC connector to support it. Nevertheless I do use BeanManaged (there is no reason to use anything else) and AFAIK mine report failures. I'll have to check that to be sure since databases aren't my source of failures, LDAP is. Pretty sure I tested that functionality at the time though.
