Invoking login.jsp

I'm following the instructions on this page
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/IdPAuthUserPassLoginPage

I'm expecting to see a jsp page after a successful login to handle certain cases before user is redirected to the SP. I'm just trying to figure out why it's working on one shib2 instance but not another.

You don't "invoke login.jsp" on any version of the software and you should not need to use JSP at all with the supported version. Beyond that, I'm not going to make a bunch of guesses about what you're using, what you mean, etc.
