If you're getting the same errors, then there's probably the same cause.  Scott's message included some pragmatic advice on handling paths in Java on Windows that might help you to structure your file paths.

Either way, you just need to get the IdP connected to that file if you intend to use it for trust.  I'm ignorant, by choice, about the noble backslash, so I can't really help more until you get past this.
