Shib IdP v.3.3.0 memory usage

Hello all,

I recently upgraded from Shib IdP v.3.2.1 to v.3.3.0 and noticed that
the newer version uses a bit more memory than the last version.

My setup:
CentOS 6.8 x86_64
Tomcat 7.0.70
Oracle Java 1.8.0.112
Apache httpd 2.2.15-54 (handles SSL stuff)

I'm using jvmtop (https://github.com/patric-r/jvmtop) to view memory
usage from the command line.

Without any Shib IdP software, usage is about 100MB (due to other Tomcat
services we run).

With Shib IdP 3.2.1, usage is  600MB -  800MB.
With Shib IdP 3.3.0, usage is 1100MB - 1300MB.

Are other IdP setups using Tomcat (instead of Jetty) and noticing a
memory usage difference after the upgrade to v.3.3.0?
