Glad it worked. That was just a more minimal version (less namespace
prefixes defaulted) of the one you quoted back from 2012:

I.e, that one would have worked just the same.

Only a "naked" <EntitiesDescriptor> element without a namespace
declaration isn't sufficient (or schema-valid), though, which is what
you've run into.
