Modify Username on Input?

Perfect!

What subsystem is that?  I'm guessing from the link in your first post,
that's the passwordauth subsystem.  I didn't even know it was a subsystem.
Which of the git and or SVN repos would I want?   If that's too noob a
question for you, I can figure it out, it would be a kindness to save me
some time, though.
