custom authentication

Hi,

Can IdP maintain sessions and perform SSO if the same application is
launched from different browsers.
1. Using Firefox, logged into webapplication that is using IdP to achieve
SSO.
2. If the same web application is launched in chrome while the session is
still active in IdP, will SSO happen here?
