It works.  You can try this too - just go to wiki.shibboleth.net and select that IdP.  You'll see the icon in the drop down and if you back button to the EDS and refresh (after selection) you'll see the big logo.

>From your diagnosis, I'd take a close look at the SO logs and look for memory issues (remember, InCommon metadata just got bigger) and disk space issues on the disk where the json is spooled.

When we were discussion memory issues last month, I'd forgotten that the SWITCH metadata has embedded images.  I bet that’s driven up the memory requirements disproportionately...
