I remember having issues building against boost on Solaris 11.2. Its
been a while since I built my packages (I need to go back and update my
libraries). But, here are my boost and xmltooling-c notes from when I
did it last. Like scott recommends, I had to add the
'-library=stlpport4' as a CXXFLAGS parameter.

        Require build env variables:

            export SHIB_DIR=/opt/shib-sp
            export CFLAGS="-xO2"
            export CXXFLAGS="-xO2 -library=stlport4"
            export LDFLAGS="-R$SHIB_DIR/lib -L$SHIB_DIR/lib -R/usr/local/lib -L/usr/local/lib"
            export REPO_BUILD_DIR=/admin/repo_builds/

        	<... built log4shib, xerces-c, xml-security-c ..>
