IDP3 documentation regarding StoredId deprecated class

I just noticed that the documentation page
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/IDP30/PersistentNameIDGenerat
ionConfiguration appears to indicate there are two classes
"JDBCPersistentIdStore" and "JDBCPersistentIdStoreEx".

My question is which one is being deprecated? The 3.2+ example "Example
persistent ID store beans in saml-nameid.xml" shows "JDBCPersistentIdStore"
in use, but the proceeding text says "... you want to override some of the
settings available, latter property can be used to point to a bean of type
JDBCPersistentIdStoreEx, as shown below." In the pre-3.2 blurb at the
bottom, it says "... set to a bean of the now-deprecated
JDBCPersistentIdStore class ..."

I'm bailing on the legacy nameID generation (due to a vendor wanting a
custom "unspecified" nameID, blech) and want to do this right. I'm guessing
this could just be an artifact from the "old way" in the 3.2+ example?

Thanks,
