I submitted a support request with Educause and they let me know that the
problem was indeed on their end. They were able to fix the issue where
Educause did not correctly return a POST command to the browser,
Unfortunately, the assertion my IdP returned seems to have a problem as
well: I get an error "You have authenticated successfully at your home
institution, but some key attributes are
missing". Their support group seem to believe that this issue is a problem
on their end as well.

Thank you very much for the forwarded message; that is the first I have
seen it.
