Pardon my ignorance, but what is an RFE?

Request For Enhancement.  Improvements or new features.  But you’ve heard, “not bug, feature” before.  I don’t know whether your specific proposal will work, but it would be a fine suggestion to offer in the issue and it will give the developers a place to track work on the idea.
