OwnCloud, and Shibboleth ...

Hi,

We've starting looking at a product from Europe called OwnCloud. It 
provides a single access point, and can be configured to access a 
variety of different data stores behind that access point. Currently, 
our user community has ready access to a confusing variety of storage 
solutions, and this may be a way of tying them together. (eg SMB, 
google, OneDrive, DropBox, Box, etc). They also provide "synch clients" 
for a variety of devices, including mobile.

During yesterday's presentation, they actually recognized the word 
"Shibboleth", and said that half of their higher ed customers are using 
OneCloud in conjunction with Shib. They couldn't explain what that 
really means, tho.
