IDPV2 / IDPV3 Memory suggestions?

We've updated them several times, but the only recommendation possible is "what works for you". People are doing too many different things for the advice to be useful. With InCommon alone, what's there is usually ok, but the advice we give isn't specific to InCommon and is ultimately just a guideline.

2G is enough, sometimes. It depends on many factors, mostly load and the size of other metadata sources.

If it's a 64-bit system, the answer with any software is "as much as you can spare" and if it doesn't work, you get more. At this point, a 32-bit system is borderline unusable with a file that large. I have one that no longer works at all (it will start, but can't reload the metadata).
