That also explains why your config didn't look much different from
mine. ;)

With IDPv2 the aacli was running outside the container, so it didn't
have access to those resources. That's different with IDPv3:

  "The upgraded command line utility, named aacli as before, is much
  faster because it operates as a localhost-only web service rather
  than loading an embdded copy of the IdP on every invocation"
