Hard to say without more logging and proof about exactly which step is lagging. Either way I think it's network/client issues, not the code. There's no reason to think otherwise until you have a network trace proving it's requesting the view across the redirect in a timely fashion.

Nobody else has reported anything like that, so I would also question the source of the container. If it's not officially supported, the next step would be to use one that is.
