Yes, there's no inheritance whatsoever. Often annoying to people but in this example it's clearer why, it would be very difficult/impossible to express negation of a default setting.

It's more work to duplicate settings, but you have no difficulty ever figuring out what an override will do, it's literally what you tell it, no implicit behavior.
