And I'll repeat, the client is requesting jama.amadev and the site is processing the request as amadev. If that were the case, adding the <Alias> should work, so that suggests you didn't apply that change or didn't restart if you did. But that's not a common scenario. Normally those would be separate sites entirely.
You ignored the rest of what I told you to do to diagnose it.
It doesn't make any sense to take one site and start calling it by different names and actually acting on those requests differently inside the SP. Why bother? Anybody can send requests to those different names, and if they map to the same resources, you accomplish nothing.
I still don't understand why any of this is necessary.
