IdPv3 CAS client request parameters

Our CAS clients use a login request parameter, 'appKey' to indicate service-specific UI branding is available for the login page; the incoming client request would look something like, http://idp3.example.com/idp/profile/cas/login?service={serviceURL}&appKey={servicename}<http://idp3.example.com/idp/profile/cas/login?service=%7bserviceURL%7d&appKey=%7bservicename%7d>.  The appKey parameter value is needed for drawing the login view but the HttpServletRequest parameters from the service request are not available to the login view, in the 'request' variable.  Is there another way to get the parameters from at the login view.
