If it was a permissions problem, wouldn't I get a startup error of some kind? The only fie and password I'm configuring in
../Shibboleth/IdP/jetty-base/start.d/idp.ini
are the different ones I copied over, so how would it even know to "fall back" on the PKCS12 file that was created as part of install? And I did check that the permissions for mine match the permissions for the one generated as part of install.
Is there any Jetty log setting(s) that would get Jetty to log what config files it is reading?
It's almost like Jetty isn't
