Using the attribute resolver to generate NameIDs is deprecated. Computed, stored, fried, baked, don't care. The StoredId connector is equally deprecated (if that page is missing the note, then that's the problem).

Updated docs on how to do this are in [1] and computing them is just as supported now as before.
