Automating the generation of IdP metadata

One more question if I may :)

I am not 100% about the process I am following... there are a number of files I customized as per the instructions:
conf/<several xml files, not idp.properties>
messages/error-messages.properties
webapp/<logo image>

What I am doing right now is this:
- wipe out the idp.target.dir directory
- run install with an idp.merge.properties file
- then copy my customized files above to the idp.target.dir

I am wondering if there is a place in idp.src.dir where I could put my customized files before running install, and if running install will pick them up to copy to idp.target.dir?
I see that the source has both conf/ and dist/conf/xxx.xml.dist ... so I am a bit confused?

Thanks!
Franck

You're mistaken. That is not for browser-facing access and special properties (and different keys) apply to that port.

You might decide to not use the features offered on that port (Artifact resolution and Attribute Queries), but then you'd remove those wholesale.
You might also decide to move those to different ports (for whatever reason), but either way, it should not be the IANA-registered port 443 for https.
