IDP Saml 2 Artifact profile Clustering

I'm looking for options for active/active load balancing Shib 3 IDP when
the SP is running in Saml 2 artifact profile.

   - SAML 2.0 artfact use is not supported by default if more than one node
   is deployed, but it is possible to make that feature work with additional
   configuration (discussion TBD).

What is the additional configuration? - assuming I use memcache storage
backend

I see this options in idp.properties.  Do I just need to change it to
memcache?
