You can define your own arbitrary properties using Spring just by specifying name/value pairs in a file that is ultimately pointed to by idp.properties.

That works great for the attribute resolver, and it's how the LDAP properties work, but I have no idea whether the JAAS machinery is capable of pulling from Spring properties.

Only one way to find out,
