Embedded Discovery Service for multiple SPs?

Hi all,

In the scenario where we have multiple Shibboleth SP-protected sites
(multiple sites on one SP instance now, multiple sites on multiple SP
instances in the future), is the Embedded Discovery Service still the best
solution? 

The Wiki recommends the EDS rather than the centralised DS for SPs, but I'm
not clear if this still holds true if we have multiple sites & SPs. The
likely scenario is:

Site A on SP 1 -> Marketing Agency's IdP / Client A's IdP
Site B on SP 1 -> Marketing Agency's IdP / Client B's IdP
Site C on SP 2 -> Marketing Agency's IdP / Client C's IdP
etc..

We foresee at least 20-30 of these being set up over the next year, so we're
keen to have an easily configurable solution. We can alternatively roll a
custom solution in our application code, if that's simplest.
