Our Rave administrator received notice from Rave about upcoming Shibboleth 
maintenance, but I think it was already completed.  Here is what the 
message said:

"Recently, select organizations utilizing Shibboleth authentication may 
have experienced intermittent difficulties with login.  We understand the 
inconvenience that these disruptions may have caused and have been working 
diligently to improve robustness and resolve these issues. On Monday, 
August 15th, 2016 at 12:30 AM EST, Rave will perform maintenance on our 
Shibboleth infrastructure. This maintenance event is expected to take 
approximately three (3) hours."

Maybe something didn't go well?
