There are external contributions for IDPv3 available that should
allow that, e.g. from this recent thread:

An alternative would be using the IDP's remote user login handler /
auth mechanism, and setting up an SP/RP on the IDP host, using any of
the availble protocols from the external IDP (SAML or OIDC or even
something proprietary).
