IDP logout

Hello All,
I am trying to log out off IDP, i go to
https://localhost:8443/idp/profile/Logout  and i get "*The logout operation
is complete, and no other services appear to have been accessed during this
session" *message, but  when i log out of the SP, the session is still
there on IDP and the SP recreates its own session (since there is still a
session on the IDP). This is making the logging out impossible as it
instantly re-log in. I have two questions please:
1- How can I log out off the IDP correctly?
2- How can I see what active sessions are currently logged in at the IDP?
