SP/idp session still on after closing the browser with one application but not with other integrations

Hi,
If anyone please can help or guide me in the right direction.
I finished my integration to protect with Shib a simple hello world HTML.
When I logon using IE 11 and Chrome 46v, after closing the browser, the sso session ends successfully because when opening a new browser, it asks for credentials.
However, with Mozilla Firefox 41, the sp and idp session still on even after closing the browser.
This is what I do:
I logon to my application and I can see the hello world page
I close the browser (making sure no other browser is opened)
I open a new browser
I retype the URL to go to my application
I am able to see the hello world page
I have also tried to test if the SSO session is still on

I open a new tab on the same browser
I type another URL for another application
I see that it prompts for credentials for the second application
however, I can still can browse the hello world application
Is there anything different with Mozilla Firefox, why it behaves differently with this particular hello world application.  Even the second application behaves normally that's why I think it has to do with the SP configuration of the hello world application.

Anybody please if they have experience this, can help me, I'd appreciated.
