Really interesting. The last release of xmlsectool was some time ago, back when EC support in Java was pretty thin. I did about as much testing as was possible at the time, and I don't remember this coming up. It doesn't particularly surprise me, though.

So yes, Jarno, please file a bug on xmlsectool. It may not be fixable without moving that code to the v3 stack (which was always planned, but hasn't proved necessary yet), but I can at least take a look.
