Same actual code, not just same algorithm.

You need the legacy fallback for NameID generation. The ComputedID data connector is a layer below that. If you use it with a NameID-valued attribute encoder, that's not a legacy feature. If you use it with a String-valued NameID encoder, that's legacy.
