3.1.2 -> 3.2.0 where art thou jetty-base?

Hi,
Looks like jetty-base is no longer in the 3.2.0 build of the IdP.
Before I go down the path of creating my own jetty-base template can someone chime in on why and go forward recommendations?

I've checked release notes and nothing is there on this: https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/IDP30/ReleaseNotes
This seems like a pretty big change to not ship an entire sub-dir.

I've also checked shib-users, shib-dev and issues.shibboleth.net and can't pin down the reason it's no longer there either.
 Lots of chatter in shib-dev, but hard to divine why this outcome and any guidance to the community beyond the jetty92/jetty93 pages on the wiki.
