Shibboleth 2.4.4 Deployment Issues

Hi Guys,

I'm having a good bit of trouble in deploying Shibboleth IDP 2.4.

So far I've got it registered with testshib and the issue I have is when
I try to test it using testshib. I got it to the point where I can enter
a username and password, using an ldap backend, and it will only take
valid credentials. When it does take the credentials, however, it only
goes to an error page and doesn't seem to do anything.

I was hoping to have a log to present, but that's the other issue I"m
coming across. Most documentation I've found refers to copying files
from an endorsed directory of the install archive to tomcat6's endorsed
directory. Except it doesn't exist anymore, so I speculated I should
copy the contents of lib, so that's what I did. However I get the same
error as documented here, and the log files aren't populated:

Are there any ideas on what could be done next? I feel like resolving
the issue preventing logs from being created would be the best first
step, but even finding info on that has been difficult at best.
