Same attribute with different prefix-constant values

Hi,

Currently from our IdP, we do pass the employeeNumber attribute to different
SPs, value of the attribute got the format 
f<employee Number>

However we got two more SPs, asking for the same attribute but with two
different constant values e.g.
g<employee Number>

Instead of introducing a new attribute in attribute resolve stage, is it
possible to massage (string manipulation) the above attribute and do some
string manipulation to replace f with k etc. at Attribute filter stage.

I prefer to do pass the same attribute with different value using the
attributeFilter file without introducing a new variable, 

please let us know what is the best way to achieve it.
