Actually, I'm going to retract that, I was confusing this with a different setting, the search filter.

Where is there anything in the default configuration that tries to use the property in ldap.properties in the resolver? I think it's only used for authentication config.

Yes, it happens that the syntax is different, but we're not using it incorrectly or anything like that.

If you did want to use it in the resolver, the expression I suggested is probably a way to do it. In practice though, it seems unlikely that the same LDAP attributes would be requested in the two use cases.
