idp v3 - How to make the name and friendlyname of an attribute the same?

That would point at an issue with your attribute filter, though that
doesn't work on the level of the formal attribute name (at least v2
didn't).

As for changing the NameFormat in v3, did you check whether that's
already documented? I don't speak v3 yet.
