idp v3 - How to make the name and friendlyname of an attribute the same?

I've gotten attributes into my assertion from LDAP, but am trying to make
the name be the same as the friendlyname.  For instance with uid instead of
name="urn:oid:0.9.2342.19200300.100.1.1" showing up in the assertion I need
it to be name="uid".  I tried just changing the name attribute in
attribute-resolver.xml but then the attribute doesn't appear at all.  What
am I missing?
