There is nothing that should need to access that URL. But I would deduce 
that you're using V3.0, and the serving up of that metadata had a bug, now 
fixed. Doesn't matter for any of your purposes.

I was assuming you were using V2 based on other comments (and probably 
just assumption on my part), and I would imagine that in fact you're not 
even following the V3 documentation at all.
