I wouldn't think that has anything to do with much of anything but a lack of metadata or a misconfigured entityID for the IdP to use. Regardless, you're going to have to debug the logs to know what it's complaining about.

Then I would have to say you're looking in the wrong log.

If you say so. I would not have any confidence that you can safely mix the RequestMap with non-canonical naming.
