IdP v3 and logging

Greetings,

Is there a way to add which IP address made a request in the shibboleth
log, and reference that with a cookie value or something so that it can be
tied to a successful/unsuccessful login?

For some background we are getting an SIM to detect things like someone
logging into an account from 1000 of miles apart. So using geoip, we would
need to be able to reference IP address when log harvesting.
