Different attribute maps based on IdP?

We're an SP and I'm looking for a way to have different attribute maps based on the IdP that's accessing us, or at least a common base map and additional map entries based on IdP.

I've looked at the application stuff, and while it seems it may supply the override capability I want, I don't see a way to define applications based on the IdP involved. I know I can base applications on the host or path of the request, but before I investigate what it will take to support different hosts or paths on the application side, I'm wondering if I can define them based on IdP, or if there's some other way to have IdP-specific mapping?
