As you're using

    ShibRequestSetting requireSession 0

You won't automatically redirect - your application could detect no
Shibboleth credentials are present by looking at the Apache environment
variables (see
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/NativeSPAttributeAccess),
and then redirect the user to /Shibboleth.sso/Login (see
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/NativeSPSessionCreationParameters
)
