And the logs say what?

 

And what extra stuff does you Shibboleth Installation have configured.
AFAIK the SP doesn’t write to databases unless you are doing database backed
clustering ditto the IdP except for the StoredID Connector – and that
doesn’t look like a StoredID update to me
